Last year, Lanning, and two Waitsburgers, Patty Hazelwood and Vicki Hamann, took a dip in the Columbia River to raise money for Special Olympics of Washington. The garden got the better of me this year. I always start out optimistic and start way too many seeds and then pack them into every square inch of the garden.
