Cardinal MS Baseball

The Waitsburg Middle School boys baseball team played its first game of the season on Thursday, May 1, against DeSales at home.

"The team did well," said Coach Lash LaRue. "We had some timing issues going from practicing on dirt to playing on grass, but overall, we did great. Once we relaxed and played like we had nothing to lose, we played great."

LaRue believes the team will be very successful after the boys begin playing as if they have nothing to lose in every game and every inning.

Alex Watson started on the mound for the Cardinals, and Rowdy Cole pitched in relief.  Braxton Bly was the catcher in the 17-7 loss.  No other stats were available.
