Classes are back at Waitsburg Town Hall

WAITSBURG - Low to moderate-impact exercise classes are back in Waitsburg. The one-hour classes are well attended by mature, 60-year-old and older exercisers. Becky Huwe and Deb Foreman run the classes from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at Waitsburg Town Hall.

Enhanced Fitness classes were introduced to Waitsburg in 2019 by Melissa Lambert, an instructor from P.E.A.K Fitness. No longer a part of that program, the dedicated exercisers regrouped, first at Town Hall and later to a room at the Presbyterian Church before moving back to Town Hall this December.

Group members say it is a great way to start the day. The daily routine consists of walking, aerobics, sit-ups, push-ups, arm and leg exercises, and stretching. You do not have to be over 60 to attend, and most exercises can be adjusted to your specific needs. Participants contribute $10 a month to cover the Town Hall rental fee.

Join this healthy and social activity, where you also get the chance to hear Jack McCaw sing along with the music. Remember, exercise is medicine.
