WAITSBURG — The Waitsburg Commercial Club is hosting two meetings on Thursday, June 26. At noon, the club will hold its monthly meeting at Ten Ton Studios, 216 Main St. in Waitsburg. The meeting will include a public information presentation regarding the August 5, 2025, ballot measure proposing a two-tenths of 1% sales tax to support critical public safety services in the county.
The open session will offer the public an opportunity to learn about how the tax revenue would fund the modernization and sustainability of WW County’s emergency services.
Later that evening at 6 p.m., the commercial club will host the three Port of Walla Walla Commissioners and port staff for their monthly commissioners meeting at Waitsburg City Hall. The club invites the public to attend the meeting to learn about port projects, ask questions, and offer public comment.
The Waitsburg Commercial Club hosts informational meetings on various topics to encourage residents to make their voices heard through informed voting. Both meetings on Thursday are open to the public at no cost.
