    WAITSBURG - The Waitsburg Knowledge Bowl team is going strong, moving from third rank in the region in December to second place in January. Waits­burg's score of 98 points is second only to Han­ford High which has the record high score for the past five years of 142 points. Kennewick holds third place in the region 88 points. Mason taught two-dimensional studio classes at Walla Walla Univer­sity from 1995 to 2013. In 2006 she and her husband, Jerry, moved to Dayton, Wash.     WAITSBURG - Walla Walla County Commissioners approved a grant recommendation from the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee to award a $3,000 grant to Waitsburg Celebration Days at their January 13 Board Meeting. The grant uses lodging tax proceeds to award funds to organizations that actively promote tourism.
