Daughters of the Pioneers Scholarship

WALLA WALLA - The Walla Walla Chapter of the Daughters of the Pioneers Chapter No. 12 is looking for high school graduates interested in applying for a $750.00 scholarship. The deadline for applications is May 1. In order to qualify the applicant must meet two re­quirements.

1. Be a descendant of a person who established residence in one of four states: Washing­ton, prior to 1871; Oregon, prior to 1853; Idaho, prior to 1864 and Montana state, west of the crest of the Rocky Mountains, prior to 1864.

2. Be a resident of Walla Walla County, city or rural routes of Dayton Washington, or city or rural routes of Milton-Freewater, Oregon.

Interested parties meeting the above requirements should contact their school develop­ment counselor or school administrator of scholarship for an application packet. They may also contact the Scholarship Chairman by addressing a request to, Scholarship Chairman D.P.W. No. 12, Dorothy Hall, 1054 Francis Avenue, Walla Walla, WA 99361.
