DW Football Wins at Warden

October 27, 2022

DW COMBINE—The play of the game; Senior Monte Pettichord chased down a Warden player 80 yards to prevent a touchdown right before halftime! That momentum shift carried the Wolfpack to a hard-fought victory on a very cold and windy night, stated Coach Troy Larsen.

DW played without senior Preston Hansen (torn shoulder capsule) and senior Kason Fortune (back) in the game at Warden on Friday, October 21. The Wolfpack won 12-7 on two touchdowns by senior Hudson Reser.  Junior Blake French was the lead blocker for Reser.  As stated by Coach Larsen, DW had their chances at the end zone but stubbed their toes with fumbles and interceptions.

The defense had another solid game, with Junior Kaylub Prather playing tough, leading his team with 18 solo tackles.  Pettichord had twelve.  Junior Rueben Yutzy and freshman Jarod Hankins each sacked the Warden’s quarterback, and senior Daylan Marlow had an interception.

The Wolfpack will take on Riverview in Waitsburg on Friday, October 28, 7 pm start time.
