7th-inning Tiger rally falls short by a run
PRESCOTT – The Prescott Girls' softball team hosted Riverside-Boardman on April 26 and came out on the short end of a high-scoring game, 9-8. Each team had ten hits, and the Lady Tigers played an errorless game.
In the bottom of the seventh, the Tigers had runners on first and third with no outs. Devon Harshman scored after an attempted pickoff throw, which allowed Bailey Adams to reach second. Adams moved to third and then scored on consecutive ground outs. Anna Nerf then walked to put the tying run on, but the Tigers couldn't bring her home.
"The girls really played well and made it an exciting game," said Prescott coach Angie Potts.
