WAITSBURG - The Waitsburg 7-8th grade band traveled to Asotin on March 21 where they earned a Superior (I) rating in the Mass Band Festival. The band performed three songs: "It Don't Mean a Thing if it Ain't Got that Swing," "Tunbridge Overture," and "Forge of Vulcan." All 38 band members were in attendance. WALLA WALLA - The National Weather Service is seeking volunteers to participate in upcoming weather spotter training on April 1 in Dayton and April 9 in Walla Walla. Weather spotters trained by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Weather Service assist meteorologists by providing up-to-date information about storm activity.
