Endorsement for Schram to lead Sheriffs Office

Richard Schram has outlined not only his vision for the Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Office, but also the meaningful improvements he’s already helped accomplish. From achieving state accreditation for the first time to strengthening training, developing leadership, modernizing equipment, securing grants, and improving services, his record demonstrates experience, dedication, and a commitment to making a good department even better.

When I first endorsed Richard, it was based on the respect and confidence I developed while working with him during my years with Walla Walla County. I knew him as a capable, professional, and dependable leader.

Throughout this campaign, however, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know Richard better, not just as a colleague, but as a person. My respect for him has only grown.

I’ve come to appreciate not only his experience and accomplishments, but also his integrity, sincerity, humility, and genuine concern for the people he serves.

Leadership isn’t simply about promises. It’s about character, experience, relationships, and a demonstrated ability to get things done.

I was confident in my endorsement when I first made it. Today, I’m even more certain that Richard Schram is the right person to lead the Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Office.
