Our American justice system is too important to take for granted. We must have the best and brightest people administering that justice. That’s why my husband Jim and I are proud to endorse Janelle Carman-Wagner for part time District Court Judge. I’ve known Janelle for more than 20 years, and my husband has known her for much longer than that. Her broad experience in civil, family, and criminal law makes her competent and knowledgeable in all the legal matters under District Court jurisdiction. After some court cases, someone may be angry; someone may be happy, but justice is what matters. Janelle is fair, ethical, and scrupulously honest. She is also kind and reasoned. Those are the qualities required of a judge. Her local roots, her background in education (yes, she was an English teacher before law school), and her commitment to treating all with dignity make her the candidate we need. During the 12 years my husband Jim Romine was jail commander he often remarked how Janelle didn’t get ruffled; she is a real professional. And whether it’s volunteering at the free clinic or working with 4-H kids, she gives back. She deserves our votes for part time District Court Judge.
