Seventy-one Seniors Graduate from Waitsburg and Dayton. Prescott High Graduation Friday, June 10. 7 p.m.
Lifeguards Cheyenne, Josh Baumgarner, Maya Rapp, and pool manager Sara Tomalinson prepare the apron at the Prescott swimming pool for the upcoming season starting this weekend.
Festival founder Tim Christie, flutist Sarah Brady and harpist Amy Ley performed an open rehearsal at Sky Book & Brew in Dayton. They will perform several times in Waitsburg and Dayton this week.

Members of the Preston Hall Eighth Grade promoted to high school in ceremonies in the multi-Purpose Room last Thursday, June 7. Jill Bickelhaupt addresses classmates and an audience of family and friends with a few words about the future. Several members of the 32-member class spoke on memories from each grade level.

Kirk Huwe not only walked away with his team honors last week-outstanding hitter, pitcher and fielder-but he was named to the SEW "A" All-Star team. Kirk had an average of .375 with his bat and had only one error in 116 plays. He had 15 stolen bases this season.
Twenty-six eighth graders received certificates of completion of junior high in ceremonies held last Wednesday evening, June 2. Karen Huwe directed the class in three musical numbers.
The Blue Mountain Chapter of the Sweet Adelines, Inc. will hold a special Waitsburg night on June 14th when the group meets at 7:30 at the Pioneer Methodist Church in Walla Walla. If you like to sing; if you can carry a tune, and have the desire to learn to sing harmony, you are a prospective member of Sweet Adelines.

Former students of the old Waitsburg Academy will hold a reunion in Waitsburg on Saturday, June 23 when the stone marker which was placed last year at the site of the old academy will be officially dedicated.
Danny Jones was honored on his fifth birthday Thursday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Jones, when a group of little friends were entertained for lunch and birthday cake.
Miss Jacqueline Weller left Saturday for New York where she joined a W.S.C. group of students who sailed Tuesday from Boston for Southhampton, England for a bicycle tour of Europe.

Two tons of salt will be distributed in the blue Mountains to the elk population by Frank Bramlet, Red Mohney, Kenny Smith and Glen Ellsworth Conover and Larry King Witt, Bill Towers, Ed Lambert and Art Breed of the Washington State Big Game Council.
Shelly Jones, Carmen Davis, Nancy and Bess Gagnon and Gwyn Ferguson are attending 4-H Camp at Camp Wooten.

Col. C. W. Preston and family are moving into the Platt Preston residence on Front Street.
Miss Maudie Guntle made the editor glad this week bringing to this office a large branch literally covered with fine sweet cherries. The cherries were raised on W. S. Guntle's place in the western part of town.
A.J. Blackard has sold his street sprinkler and route to P. C. Perkins. Mr. Blackard will go into the harvest fields.
