At the Liberty:"A Christmas Carol" and "Elf"

DAYTON — He saw the past, present, and future, and you can too. The live performance of “A Christmas Carol” opened last weekend at The Liberty Theater. The show runs through Dec. 6, and tickets are still available at libertytheater.org.

The reviews are in with one audience member saying, “fantastic production that will transport you to a bygone era, the attention to detail is incredible, and the whole cast and crew should be proud.” While another said, “absolutely amazing play for those who haven’t seen it.”

This year’s production is a reimagined play written by directors Mike Ferrians and Brenda Henderson, who also collaborated on new music and lyrics for the show.

The talented costume designer and seamstress, Mary Luce, and her crew create the visual magic on stage at The Liberty Theater. Audiences have been awed by the period accuracy and beautiful costume design in this year’s show,

During the Christmas Kickoff, the Liberty Theater will show “Elf” on Friday, Nov. 28, at 3 p.m. This fun Christmas movie will be shown to the public free of charge. A human baby raised as an elf. A city where no one remembers the true meaning of Christmas. Will Ferrell (Old School) stars as Buddy, a baby raised in the North Pole by one of Santa’s elves. Rated PG for some mild rude humor and language and has a runtime of 97 minutes.
