At the Liberty:"Practical Magic 2"

DAYTON — Starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, “Practical Magic 2” returns to a world steeped in moonlit mischief and powerful ancestral magic. The Owens sisters must confront the dark curse that threatens to unravel their family once and for all in a must-see cinematic event of fun, magic, and mayhem. The cast includes Joey King, Dianne Wiest, Stockard Channing, Lee Pace, Maisie Williams, and Xolo Mariduena. Rated PG-13 for some violent content, suggestive material and brief strong language and has a Runtime of 130 minutes.

After opening weekend, Rotten Tomatoes critics and audiences were split on “Practical Magic 2”. One patron wrote, “Contrary to some critics that think they know, I believe after watching this movie it sums up the whole story beautifully! The acting, the clothing, the background, and chemistry were amazing! I grew up watching this and loved it, and my daughters and I went to this, and we all loved it too! It’s fun, and that’s what it’s meant to be!”

The “Manhattan Short Film Festival” returns September 25-29 with 10 films from 10 countries. For the first time in its history, “Manhattan Shorts” includes films from 10 countries: the USA, Ireland, Australia, South Africa, United Kingdom, Moldova, Russia, Cuba, Georgia, and Mexico, making up “Manhattan Short 2026”.

“Since 9/11, my vision for this Festival has been to create a filmic Olympiad. An event consisting of ten quality shorts from ten separate countries that joins the world, and finally in 2026 we’ve managed to do that. I’m very excited for the reaction it receives from our worldwide audiences”, said Nicholas Mason, founding director of “Manhattan Short Film Festival”.
