Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days heat up fair and rodeo season

WALLA WALLA - This year, the Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days lived up to its theme "Hotter than Ever" with high temps and blazing excitement at the Walla Walla Fairgrounds from August 27 to 31.

Despite the heat, crowds came to enjoy the show animals, carnival rides, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities. "The Sea Lion Splash!" and the "All-Alaskan Pig Races" were big hits.

The farm center's hands-on activities for kids, were updated with the addition of a combine harvester simulator. The pavilion offered a cool space with big fans blowing. It was filled with art, photography, food, Lego creations, and other handicrafts. There was also a wide selection of vendor booths to visit.

Despite the heat, Grange, 4-H, and FFA students worked hard in the show ring to show their goats, sheep, hogs, horses, cattle, rabbits, and chickens. Their friends and families were on hand to cheer, take pictures, and support the kids who worked for months preparing their animals for the fair. Market animals were sold at auction on Sunday afternoon.

The Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days ended the successful week "Hotter than Ever."
