Waitsburg Pastor's acheivement celebrated

WAITSBURG - The Waitsburg Presbyterian Church membership recognized Pastor Heidi Lum as she received her on July 27. The church was full of congregants, elders, family, and friends who celebrated Lum's journey to service.

Lum credits the interim pastor, Stan Hughes, for bringing her to the Waitsburg church. They met at the Presbytery of the Northwest, where Hughes offered her an internship in Waitsburg. The church's membership named Lum as Pastor last year when Hughes officially stepped down.

At the Ordination Order of Service, Lum received a vibrant blue shawl from her congregation in Honolulu, Hawaii, and a black robe decorated with delicate trim of golden wheat from the Waitsburg membership.
