“Jurassic World: Rebirth”

DAYTON — Five years after the events in “Jurassic World Dominion,” Earth’s climate has proven inhospitable to dinosaurs.  Those that have survived, live in isolated areas along the equator, where the tropical biosphere resembles the prehistoric climate where they thrived.

The three largest of the surviving creatures hold the key to developing a drug that could bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.  The cast includes Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Ed Skrein, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Philippine Velge, Luna Blaise, Bechir Sylvain, and Audrina Miranda.

The audience rates “Jurassic World: Rebirth” at 71% saying that “it was a well-paced action movie, that didn’t get bogged down by so many characters.”

The Rotten Tomatoes critics were less enthusiastic, with a 53% rating. One critic wrote, “New dinosaurs and environments as well as humans with varying motivations ensure things are kept reasonably fresh.”

Rated PG-13: for intense sequences of violence and action, bloody images, some suggestive references, language, and a drug reference.  Runtime: 133 minutes.
