Waitsburg Drops Game at Touchet

 


WAITSBURG — The Cardinals’ baseball team came up one run short in the game at Touchet on April 23. Touchet scored in the bottom of the first inning and continued to score into the fourth inning before the Cardinals kept the Redhawks from crossing home plate.

Klint Kuykendall started on the mound for the Cardinals and struck out six Redhawks and walked one in the 8-7 loss. Jayce Gleason pitched in relief.

Waitsburg had a good sixth inning. Three Cardinals reached base via walks, Gleason had a hit and Kuykendall had a double and three runs were scored.
