Ms Solftball Lose Season Opener
Waitsburg Middle School played in its first game of the season against St. Patrick Catholic School from Pasco on Monday, April 27.
Bases on balls, wild pitches, and stolen bases occurred for both teams. The Cardinals walked a few too many and lost 25-4 in five innings of play.
Lillian Carpenter hit a triple in the game and crossed home plate for two of the four Cardinal runs.

The Waitsburg High School track team joined seventeen other schools at the Undeberg Invitational track meet at Lind-Ritzville High School on April 25, 2026.

Waitsburg Middle School track team had its first meet of the season at the SE 1B Middle School Meet in Pomeroy on April 20, with thirteen schools competing. Some events had over 50 kids participating.

Cardinals Lose Doubleheader to Pirates
Waitsburg High School's baseball team lost both games of the doubleheader against Pomeroy on Friday, April 24.
The Pomeroy Pirates won 7-2 in the first game and 24-3 in the second.

Cardinal Golfers At TVGC
Waitsburg High School’s golf team played at the Touchet Valley Golf Course on Thursday, April 23, against Dayton, Walla Walla Valley Academy, and St. John-Endicott.
The seven Cardinals played 18 holes, with five members shooting their lowest scores of the season.
Jake Lynch scored a 99, and Carter Barron ended the day with a score of 97. The five personal best scores were earned by Blake Benevides, 89; Cody Coulston, 92; Gavin Mikesell, 112; Landen Henry, 114; and Victor Whitmore, 117.
