At the Liberty:"Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse"

DAYTON—Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Spider-Verse saga, “Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse”. This is an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spiderman to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered.

According to the Rotten Tomatoes website, this movie is well liked by both critics and audiences, with 96% favorable from both. The critic’s consensus was “Just as visually dazzling and action-packed as its predecessor, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse thrills from start to cliffhanger conclusion.” It is rated PG for language, animated action violence, and thematic elements.

For All Wheels Weekend, on Sat. June 17, the Liberty Theater will have a free showing of Smokey and the Bandit, at 3 p.m. This is a fun movie starring Burt Reynolds and Sally Fields.

To kick off our kids’ summer theater season, the theater will feature Alex Zerbe in a free Zaniac Comedy Show, at 1:30 on Tuesday, June 20. Alex has been awarded two Guinness World Records, appeared on two national television shows (America’s Got Talent and Last Comic Standing), and been voted Seattle’s Funniest Prop Comedian. Beatboxing, juggling, dancing, singing, music and magic are just a few of the things that led Piers Morgan of America’s Got Talent to call this physical comedian, “The total package.”

Lastly, at 1 pm on Wednesday, June 21, and Friday June 24, the Liberty Theater’s free summer kids movies begin with a showing of Peter Rabbit. Please see the Liberty Theater website for details and the schedule for upcoming movies. A special discounted price of $2 for a small drink and small popcorn is available.
