WALLA WALLA—The Walla Walla Pride Festival is celebrating its fifth year with a big step forward—it is hosting the event in downtown Walla Walla for the first time. The free, family-friendly celebration will take place on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Heritage Square Park at 116 E Main Street.
This year’s theme, “Orgullo y Unidad | Pride and Unity,” reflects the event’s goal of bringing people together to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community while highlighting the importance of connection, acceptance, and support across Walla Walla.
The festival will include live performances, speakers, music, local vendors, community booths, and activities for all ages. There won’t be food or drink vendors so attendees can explore the restaurants, tasting rooms, and shops downtown.
The 2025 Pride Festival is a community–driven event. It is organized entirely by volunteers passionate about creating inclusive spaces in the Walla Walla Valley. Support from the Downtown Walla Walla Foundation, Visit Walla Walla, local businesses, and other community partners has made this downtown celebration possible.
The event organizers said there are many ways to get involved, including donating, sponsoring, volunteering, becoming a vendor, and especially by attending the festival. Everyone is welcome, and all support will help make this event successful.
“It has been a joy to watch the festival grow and become more inclusive every year — my heart is absolutely overflowing,” said organizer Jeremy Mendenhall. “With such a beautiful and vibrant community here in Walla Walla, this festival offers an incredible opportunity for everyone to gather and celebrate together, and it reminds us that no one is alone.”
