WAITSBURG-The Matbirds Calvin James and Charlie Reger each placed first in their first time wrestling at the first wrestling tournament of the season on March 11.
On March 18 the Matbirds traveled to the Ritzville tournament. Highlights were Jess Winona placing 1st winning two out of three matches by fall. Wyatt Parrish and Daniel Erwin each placed 2nd winning two out of three matches and Connor Murdock took home a third-place medal winning three out of four matches.
The Matbirds' next tournament will be March 25 at Pomeroy.
