DW COMBINE-The middle school football team's last game of the season was a 26-0 win at Pomeroy on October 25th. Coach Collier stated that JJ Gleason scored two TDs, Jordan McCowen caught a pass for a TD, and Byron Collier ran one in for 6 points. The defense stopped the Pirates numerous times as the Wolfpack finished with a 2-2 record.
Coach Collier held an award ceremony that included pizza and named Byron Collier MVP; Jordan McCowen "Best Hands"; JJ Gleason "Best Running Back"; Hunter Griffen "Rookie of the Year"; Juka Beckman "Most Improved"; Kaden Cole "Best Defender" and Raymond Yutzy "Coaches Award." Collier had fun coaching this group of young men and predicts the eighth graders will make a significant impact playing high school football.
On Monday, October 31, the middle school boys started basketball. Head Coach Owen Lanning is in his second year coaching the Wolfpack team. He has over thirty players ready to play in their first game on Thursday, November 10, at Rogers in College Place.
