WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla County Department of Community Health is hosting a suicide prevention training on Fri., Feb. 1 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Chuck Fulton Room at the Walla Walla Police Department, located at 4 East Moore Street.

Nikki Sharp of Comprehensive Healthcare and Amanda Walsborn from Umatilla County Public Health will conduct this six-hour training that includes activities, interactive case scenarios, discussion, PowerPoint and printed materials.

The protocols have been developed for educators, emergency medical services, faith leaders, funeral directors, law enforcement, mental health-substance abuse providers, medical examiners, coroners, military and social service providers.
