Dec. 13

Family disturbance, verbal only, in 800 block of E. Clay; parties separated. Assault; juvenile incident in 600 block of S. 3rd. Suspicious circumstances; report of mailbox being accessed and receiving mail on a Sunday. USPS confirmed they were, indeed, working on Sunday because of the storm earlier in the week. Open door reported on 400 block of E. Main; door secured.

Dec. 14

Report of a mini-horse in the roadway on US 12, MP 362; transferred to WSP.

Dec. 15

Complaint of harassment though texting on 200 block of E. Jackson. Report of two tires slashed on Baxter St. in Starbuck. Civil dispute regarding property line. Parties advised to have properties surveyed. Trespassing on 100 block of Main Rd. in Huntsville. Lonnie Marick, 39, Waitsburg was arrested and booked on misdemeanor charges of theft, trespassing, and violating a court order, into the Columbia County Jail. Sean McLerran, 41, Richland was cited for an insurance violation then arrested on three felony Benton County warrants.

Dec. 16

Report of individual taking pictures of the courthouse and vehicles and caller felt it suspicious at that time of night. Citizen was walking home and taking pictures because it was pretty out. Three incidents of vandalism reported in 400 block of E. Richmond; spray paint on structures and trampoline slit. Suspicious activity reported. Mobile unit jamming the local Inland Cellular cell tower. Report of a mid ‘90s Toyota extended cab or a Suburban, white, with “lots” of antennas in the area during the outages. Attempted to locate for Inland as the individuals may not know they are doing it. Unable to locate. Matt Lindberg, 25, Walla Walla was arrested in the 300 block of Washington as a wanted person for vehicle theft in Walla Walla. Transferred to Walla Walla PD custody. Prowler(s) stole change from vehicle in 700 block of S. 4th.

Dec. 17

Caller received fraudulent IRS call threatening lawsuit unless money is sent ASAP. Report of deer caught in fence in Huntsville. Deputy released deer which had a broken leg and had to be put down. Codi Powers, 21, Walla Walla was northbound on McKay-a lot Rd. when he lost control on the slushy roadway. He left the northbound shoulder striking the embankment, the vehicle rolled onto its driver side, coming to rest partially blocking the roadway.

Dec. 18

Robert Lentz, 33, Dixie was arrested on DUI charges and booked into Columbia County jail after being located driving on the county golf course. Assisted with control for a pole fire between S. 2nd and S. 3rd.

Dec. 19

Credit card fraud at 400 block of W. Main; under investigation. During a warning for speed deputies discovered plates had been switched on the rental car. The originals had been removed and stolen plates attached. Stolen plates were removed and originating agency was advised.
