WAITSBURG - Waitsburg's fifth and sixth-grade boys are finishing their season in the Walla Walla Valley Blues Flag Football League.
Coaches Dane Kiefel and Jarod Gagnon hold practices three times a week, and the team, The Nukes, plays two games every Saturday. Jake Lynch is the assistant coach.
There are seven 5/6th grade teams in the league. Each game is played within a 25 minute running clock.
The team was formed in April and will play in the single-elimination playoff games on June 1.
