Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
PRESCOTT – The WP Tiger Baseball team came away with a big 8-2 win at home against Touchet on March 31, on the strength of a big seven-run sixth inning. Strong pitching from Talen Larsen and Jacob Dunn allowed the Tigers to hold the Indians to two runs, while scattering six hits.
"We struggled early putting the ball in play, and left some guys stranded on base," said WP Coach Dustin Snedigar. "I'm pleased we stayed patient, and were able to adjust late and put the ball in play. The defense played really well behind Talen Larsen and Jacob Dunn, who really did a great job."
For the game, Larsen, Gradwohl and Antonio Benito had two hits each, including a double by Larsen. The three each had RBI singles in the big sixth inning.
