Commun i ty Input Meeting for Prescott Vacant Lot Project

Prescott Lions Hall

2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Residents from Prescott and surrounding areas are invited to come and offer input on what should be done with the vacant lot on “D” Street. The Pomegranate Center Design team will use the input received to design the new gathering spot.

Community Open House for Prescott Vacant Lot Project

Prescott Lions Hall 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The Pomegranate Center design team will show the community the plans they developed from community input. Milenko Matanovic will speak and give his vision for the project.

Waitsburg Commercial Club Meeting

Waitsburg Town Hall 6:30 p.m.

Guest speaker is John Begley of Columbia Pulp, a company exploring options to build a wheat-straw pulp mill in the Lyon’s Ferry area. Dinner is at 6:30 and the program begins at 7 p.m. Please RSVP your reservations to ikbakeve@charter.net or 509 337-6546. Cost inclusive for dinner is $12.00; there is no charge to attend for the program.

Connection Luncheon

Pataha Flour Mill (50Hutchens Hill Rd, Pomeroy) Tammy Ortung from Port Orchard Wash. will be speaking on her experience of “being led through the Valley of Death” during her deployment in Iraq in 2009. Lunch is $10 and will be catered by the Pataha staff. Reservations are needed by Friday, April 11 and can be made with Judy Jackson at 509-399-2005.
