John and Sharon Richter of Dayton, WA, announce the engagement of their daughter, Gretchen Di­anne Richter to Matt David Payne, son of Nancy and the late David Payne, also of Dayton, WA.

The future bride is a 1999 graduate of Dayton High School and graduated from Washington State Univer­sity in 2003 with a Textile Design degree. She also received her Interior Design degree from the Fashion Institute of Design & Mer­chandising in 2010. A 1998 graduate of Dayton High School, the future groom received his bachelor of arts degree in Sport Management from Washington State Uni­versity in 2003.

The couple have made their home in sunny Orange, CA where Gretchen is a Store Manager for Bassett Furniture and Matt is an Ac­count Executive for the Ana­heim Ducks Hockey Club. A September 2013 wedding is planned at Running T Ranch in Dayton, WA.
