    DAYTON – On Dec. 23, the Dayton girls' basketball team hosted defending state champion Colfax, and suffered a 39-28 loss. It was the second straight loss for the previously undefeated Lady 'Dogs. The Cardinals recovered Friday, however, as they took an easy win from Weston-McEwen, 53-34.     PRESCOTT - WP sophomore soccer player Ivan Figueroa was nominated by a community member and selected by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association as one of its Athletes of the Week. Figueroa blasted goals in two playoff games last month, as his team took second place at the state tournament in Sumner.     SUMNER - The WP soccer team ended their season with a trip to the Division 2B state championship game here on Saturday. The Tigers fell, 1-0, to Mount Vernon Christian.
