CHENEY - Dayton sophomore Kait­lyn Andrews was the only local girl com­peting at the state track meet in Cheney last week. Andrews placed fifth in the javelin, with a throw of 118 feet, 5 inches. CHENEY - Eight mem­bers of the WP boys track team traveled to the state 2B track meet here Friday and Saturday. They left with the third-place trophy, coming in a point shy of second place La Conner.
