HEPPNER, Ore. - The Waitsburg-Prescott football team was no match for the Heppner Mustangs on Friday, as the Cardinals took a big loss, 45-7. CLARKSTON - WP X-C runners raced the 3 mile Seaport Invite at Clarkston's Beachview Park on Saturday. The course includes one mile on the grass, a second mile on a packed trail with a gradual decline and a big hill for the finish. DAYTON - The Dayton Bulldogs football team came out strong Friday night, scoring two quick touchdowns against Garfield-Palouse, and taking an early 14-0. But it wasn't to be, as the Vikings fought back with six first-half touchdowns of their own, before rolling to a 62-26 win. PRESCOTT - The WP Pirates soccer team completed a successful first two weeks, piling up a 4-0 record and giving up only two total goals.
