    WAITSBURG – Talks regarding a possible football athletic combine between Waitsburg and Dayton will continue. At their Dec. 9 regular meeting, the Waitsburg School Board approved the creation of an exploratory committee to more closely examine the possibility and report back in late January.     MILTON-FREEWATER – The Waitsburg Cardinals won consecutive games against Riverside and Mac-Hi over the weekend to win the Mac-Hi Tournament here Saturday night. On Friday night, the Cardinal boys cruised to a 40-21 victory over Riverside. Kyle Gradwohl scored 19 points, while Jacob Dunn had eight. Dunn also pulled down 13 rebounds.
