Almond Roca 1 c. butter 1 c. blanched, toasted 1 1/3 c. sugar almonds, toasted 3 Tbsp water 4 (4 ½ oz) Hershey bars 1 Tbsp light corn syrup 1 c. finely chopped almonds Melt butter, add sugar, syrup and water. Betty Jacobson passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Rosetta Assisted Living in Kennewick, WA. Betty was born to Roy and Irene Kellogg of Spokane on November 15, 1929. Betty was later joined by a sister, Mollie ("Peach") Kellogg (Winnett) who preceded her in death in 1982. When we were growing up, I remember making eggnog, or I guess our version of it. We would crack a raw egg into a glass, beat it with one of those small egg beaters that fit into a glass and one would have to work it up and down. I think one can find those in the antique stores.
