Waitsburg’s proposed Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) Levy will be used to maintain school programs and services that the State does not fully fund. WAITSBURG-The Waitsburg Post 35 sponsored an American Essay Contest to students at Waitsburg Schools. The contest was a way for students to think about their country. The theme for this year's competition was "Our American Flag." For the competition, students in grades 1 through 3 were challenged to use the image of our flag to create an art project. WAITSBURG-Throughout the afternoon, names were drawn for door prizes. A good crowd gathered, and winners received either a turkey, ham, gift card, or cash. Behind the scenes, progress has been continuing inside and outside the Waitsburg Weller Library since the new concrete floor was installed. Further improvements to the building to make the library ADA accessible, cleaning, and receipt of sizeable donations have transpired. WAITSBURG-The town seemed unusually quiet this fall, and community members began to question whether or not annual holiday festivities would be happening. Local residents began approaching The Times wondering about holiday favorites, including Hometown Christmas and the Lighted Parade.
