DAYTON - With summer heat in full swing, fire risk is increased. City of Dayton Code Compliance Officer Clint Atteberry says he wants to stress to all city residents that tall grass and weeds are a major source of fire fuel, whether they look to be dry or not. Trimming grasses and weeds to a height of less than 12 inches does not eliminate fire hazards, but it will reduce them.
