Providence St. Mary receives "A" for safety

WALLA WALLA—Providence St. Mary Medical Center once again has received an “A,” the highest grade possible, for quality and safety in the spring Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades.

The Safety Grade assigns letter grades of A, B, C, D and F to hospitals nationwide based on their performance in preventing medical errors, infections and other harms.

Providence St. Mary was one of 13 hospitals in Washington State awarded an “A” for its commitment to keeping patients safe and meeting the highest safety standards in the U.S, according to a hospital press release.

It was Providence St. Mary’s fourth A in a row. To see full grade details for hospitals in the region or nationally, visit http://www.hospitalsafetygrade.org.
