WAITSBURG - The Waitsburg Celebration Days Committee will be running a Duck Derby on May 17. Ducks will race down the Touchet River beginning at the Preston Avenue bridge and ending at the Main Street bridge. Ducks may be purchased for $5 each and the owner of the fastest duck will take home $500. Second place receives $250, third takes $100 and fourth place wins $50. WAITSBURG -- The Waitsburg Resource Center sponsored a visit from the Northwest Medical Teams International Mobile Dental Van last Friday. Volunteers Randy Pearson, DDS and assistant Diana Larsen were able to serve six patients during the 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. visit, though more were on the waiting list.
