WAITSBURG - The Waitsburg 7-8th grade band traveled to Asotin on March 21 where they earned a Superior (I) rating in the Mass Band Festival. The band performed three songs: "It Don't Mean a Thing if it Ain't Got that Swing," "Tunbridge Overture," and "Forge of Vulcan." All 38 band members were in attendance. WAITSBURG - The Waitsburg Resource Center (WRC) served 196 people in January -- an amount nearly equaling 10% of Waitsburg's population. Seventy-seven families from Waitsburg and Prescott received food and new families continue to utilize the service each week. The food bank currently provides services to families in the Waitsburg and Prescott school districts. Families may visit once per month and large families may take up to 55 lbs of food per visit.
