    WAITSBURG - The Waitsburg 7-8th grade band traveled to Asotin on March 21 where they earned a Su­perior (I) rating in the Mass Band Festival. The band per­formed three songs: "It Don't Mean a Thing if it Ain't Got that Swing," "Tunbridge Overture," and "Forge of Vulcan." All 38 band mem­bers were in attendance. "The judges and the au­dience really liked them. They were outstanding!" said Band Director Brad Green.     WAITSBURG - The Waitsburg Resource Center (WRC) served 196 people in January -- an amount nearly equaling 10% of Waitsburg's population. Seventy-seven families from Waitsburg and Prescott received food and new families continue to utilize the service each week. The food bank currently provides services to families in the Waitsburg and Prescott school districts. Families may visit once per month and large families may take up to 55 lbs of food per visit.
