WAITSBURG - Stephanie Cole organized the Little Spikers volleyball program for area youth in kindergarten through fourth grade in the Waitsburg High School gym. The six week program is now a project of Rural Youth Enrichment Services (RYES).
Tia Hays, Kelsy Klingenstein, and Heidi Ely assisted Cole, who taught about twenty girls basic volleyball skills through fun drills.
The program began with its first practice on September 17 and will end with the Little Spikers being recognized at the Waitsburg High School volleyball match on October 22.
