WAITSBURG - Waitsburg resident Dave Tipton grew up in Western Montana and has traveled extensively. He began photographing landscapes and wildlife in the 5th grade. Since then, he has photographed in Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, and Glacier National Park.
After moving to Waitsburg, Tipton opened his gallery, "Portraits of Nature," featuring a wide selection of his stunning photography.
He developed his art by focusing on the subjects he loves and working with photographers from National Geographic, Outdoor Photography Magazine, and Getty Images.
He has taught photography for over twenty years and has continued his education through classes and photo tours. He offers classes in Outdoor Photography, Night & Low Light, Portrait, and lighting techniques.

In addition to his photography, Tipton attends community events, volunteers at fundraisers, and provides beautiful images to "The Times."
