Schram Endorsement

To the Editor of the “Waitsburg Times”

I am writing to wholeheartedly endorse Richard Schram for Walla Walla County Sheriff.

As President of the Walla Walla Sheriff’s Foundation for the past three years, I have come to know Richard as a highly motivated and professional individual dedicated to serving both the Sheriff’s Office and our community with excellence. Born in Spokane, Wash., and a long-time resident of Walla Walla County, he has been deeply committed to our community throughout his career.

Since joining the Sheriff’s Office in 2003, Richard has held numerous positions, emphasizing his depth of experience. From working as a corrections deputy to becoming a Chief Deputy, he has consistently demonstrated leadership and dedication. His roles have included being a SWAT team member, patrol sergeant, and coordinator of daily operations under two sheriffs. Furthermore, Richard contributes as an instructor at the Washington State Basic Marine Academy and serves on various advisory committees, underscoring his commitment to public service.

Richard’s personal connection to Walla Walla, combined with his extensive professional background, makes him the ideal candidate to lead our Sheriff’s Office. I encourage you to support Richard Schram for Sheriff, knowing he will continue to serve with dedication and integrity.

Sincerely,

Larry Hector

Walla Walla, Wash.
