WAITSBURG — Waitsburg Middle School’s football team had only eight players when they faced Desales at home on Thursday, September 24.
“We were pretty depleted going into the game, but I was proud of the way our boys stayed resilient and competed. Despite missing some key players, we came out ready to fight and were only down by twelve points going into halftime,” said coach Chris Andrews.
Fatigue caught up with the boys as the game went on, and they lost the game 56-18.
“We have a bye week to get healthy, keep growing, and prepare for Tekoa-Rosalia. We are looking forward to getting back out there,” said Andrews.
