WALLA WALLA - This summer, Walla Walla offers a wide range of activities for residents and visitors, including concert series, tours, food truck nights, and curated movie shorts.
On June 6, the sixth annual Walla Walla Pride Festival kicks off the summer. This free, family-friendly event celebrates unity and acceptance under the theme "Stronger Together." Enjoy live music, performances, speakers, vendors, and activities from noon to 5 p.m. at Heritage Square Park downtown.
On June 12 and 13, dachshund lovers host the first Walla Walla Wiener Weekend. Owners, families, and fans can join for races, contests, vendors, and fun. Friday begins with the Downtown Walla Walla Wiener Walk at 6 p.m. at Walawála Plaza, S. 1st Ave and E. Main St. Walla Walla. Saturday's main event is at The Seleh, 3579 Clodius Rd, Waitsburg, with vendors and food starting at 10 a.m.
Starting June 5, First Friday Art Tours run from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Ten venues-including ArtWAlla, the Combine Art Collective, and Brasserie Four-offer pop-up exhibits, receptions, and chances to meet artists.
The Walla Walla Farmers Market operates every Saturday from May through October, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Over 40 vendors set up at the Farmers Market Pavilion, 106 W. Main Street. Shoppers will find fresh local produce, artisans, and enjoy live music while they shop.
July brings the 10th Annual Walla Walla Movie Crush, featuring America's most intoxicating short cinema. From July 10 to 12, the program is divided into one-hour thematic blocks. Named one of the 25 "Coolest Film Festivals in the World" by Moviemaker Magazine, the festival reviews over 2,000 short films, selected by co-founder Warren Etheredge. Shorts screen at Gesa Power House Theater and compete for top prizes judged by accomplished moviemakers.
