The American Red Cross has issued an urgent call for blood and platelet donors as the national supply faces a significant shortage. Scheduled donations have dropped sharply, and the need for all blood types is critical as we enter the summer months.
To support this effort, several blood drives are scheduled in Walla Walla throughout June:
June 8: 12 pm – 5 pm, The Marcus Whitman, 6 W Rose Street
June 9: 12 pm – 5 pm, First Congregational Church, 73 S Palouse St
June 19: 11 am – 4 pm, Walla Walla Fire District 4 Station 41, 2251 S Howard Street
June 23: 10 am – 3 pm, Providence St. Mary Medical Center, 401 W. Poplar
June 24: 11 am – 4 pm, Foundry Vineyards Walla Walla, 1111 Abadie Street
As an added incentive, those who donate between June 1 and June 28 will receive a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice and be entered for a chance to win one of two $7500 gift cards.
