WALLA WALLA - The Kirkman House Museum is hosting a week of fun for kids from Monday, June 22, to Friday, June 26. The Kids First Summer Camp offers young campers a variety of activities in history, science, and creativity, including a Bunker Hill water-balloon battle.
Here is the line up for the week:
Monday, June 22
Learn to write and illustrate a short story, make stick puppets, and put on a puppet show.
Tuesday, June 23
Learn about plants and gardening. Make a Macrame hanger and plant a hanging basket.
Wednesday, June 24
Life lessons from sewing on a button to building a birdhouse.
Thursday, June 25
Celebrate America's 250-year Anniversary and fight the Battle of Bunker Hill using water balloons.
Friday, June 26
Pizza Party Friday!
Design and illustrate note cards and learn Diamond Painting. Play the "I've Lost My Backpack" mystery game.
The cost is $20 per day, or $80 per child for the week. Campers should bring a sack lunch each day, and the museum will provide snacks and water.
