At the Liberty:"The Super Mario Galaxy Movie"

DAYTON — “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” is an animated film that follows “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” released in 2023. In this movie, Mario ventures into space, exploring cosmic worlds and tackling galactic challenges far from the familiar Mushroom Kingdom. Both films were produced by Chris Meledandri and Shigeru Miyamoto.

The cast includes Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, Benny Safdie, Kevin Michael Richardson, and Brie Larson. It is rated PG for action, mild violence, and rude humor, and has a runtime of 98 minutes.

The Rotten Tomatoes audience rated the movie 88% and said, “Mamma Mia! Nintendo nostalgia hits again, delivering Easter eggs, joyful wonder, and a spirited cast that make this an instant replay.”

After the successful variety show, TVAC announces the Fall Production of “The Wizard of OZ”. The show will be directed by Brenda Henderson and Stephanie Snyder. There will be 14 shows performed between November 13 and December 5. Information night for potential performers and crew is May 14 at 6 p.m. Auditions will be on June 1 at 6 p.m. for children ages 5-14. Adults can audition on June 3 at 6 p.m. A make-up audition on June 4 will be open for anyone who missed the prior dates.
