DAYTON — What if you could talk to animals and understand what they’re saying? In Disney and Pixar’s feature film “Hoppers,” scientists have discovered how to “hop” human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals, allowing people to communicate with animals as animals. The adventure introduces Mabel, an animal lover who uses hop technology to uncover mysteries of the animal world beyond anything she could have imagined. Rated PG for action/peril, some scary images, and mild language, and has a runtime of 105 minutes.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the critics rate the movie it 94%. The critics’ consensus was, “an eager beaver for endearment that has the charm to back it up, ‘Hoppers’ is a sprightly riot that might just be the funniest entry in the Pixar canon yet.”
An audience member wrote, “Hop, hop, hop to ‘Hoppers’ – a peak return for Pixar that delivers an absurdly cute and jubilant story for kids, adults, and animal lovers alike.”
On Sunday, March 29, at 6 p.m., The Village Players, a community theater group from College Place, brings “The Judge” under the direction of Dan Solis.
