Waitsburg Elementary School Students of the Month for February are 4th graders: Honesty Alexander and Kelsey Alleman with 5th graders Austin James and Tyler Wood.
Waitsburg's newest young bluegrass band, the Rezonators, includes members: Emily Adams (fiddle), Kassidy Kuykendall (mandolin), Chris Philbrook (banjo), Beka Adams (guitar), Emma Philbrook (mandolin), and Kavin Kuykendall (banjo).

Waitsburg's spring baseball season started with a win and is hoping for more wins this season with help from these returning lettermen: Brandon Neal-Tate, Jarod Gagnon, Ryan Meier, Miles Hubbard, Clay Lindsey, Scott Mason, Curtis Johnson, Brian Callahan and Marshal McKinley.
Top honorees for the Lady Cardinals were Holly Robinson, Callie Hulce and Casey Hazelbaker.
Waitsburg Cardinal Basketball players honored included Jarod Gagnon, Marshal McKinley, Scott Mason, Curtis Johnson, Clay Lindsey and Dustin Smith.

Fritz Zuger is planning to take part in the Intercollegiate rodeo at Lewiston in May as a representative of the WSC team. He plans to enter the bronc riding event.
Miss Fanny Weller was given a life membership in the Waitsburg PTA at the regular meeting night.
Members of the Waitsburg 4-H Meal Preparation breakfast club met at the home of Eden Brown on Saturday, March 17.
The picnic area of the Lewis and Clark Trail State Park has been newly equipped with five big flood lights of 500 watts each.

The Buroker Cash Grocery changed hands last Friday when Harry Buroker sold the stock of groceries and business to Roland Allen.
The Waitsburg Garage received this week a car load of nine new Ford cars in both the open and enclosed models.
An Easter Vesper Service will be given by the local Camp Fire Girls Easter Sunday at 1:30 at the Christian Church.
Dead magpies and crows, and eggs from their nests, will be worth real money to the boys of this county during April and May, it was announced Monday by Frank Bigler, county game warden. Each Magpie and crow egg will be worth 2 ½ cents; each hatched bird 3 cents and each old bird 5 cents.

Miss Lulu Woodworth is to be found behind the counters at the Arcade on Saturdays.
C. W. McCoy has purchased a general store at Sprague, Wash. and has taken possession. The family will probably make that little city their home soon.
Mrs. Mollie Wisdom and J. T. Pettichord, a well-known farmer in the Alto district were married in Walla Walla on Monday of the week March 25. Rev. L. O. Herrold officiating.
The fifteen acres just south of the city formerly known as the Driving Park, is being plowed this week. The ground will be sown to grass and several hundred shade trees will be planted. It will be but a few years now until this city may boast of a handsome park.
