DAYTON — In “Solo Mio,” a heartbroken man goes on a planned Italian honeymoon alone, after his fiancé leaves him at the altar. In Italy, Matt rediscovers his zest for life and food and meets Gia, who helps him find love again. The cast includes Kevin James as Matt, Alyson Hannigan, Jonathan Roumie, and Nicole Grimaudo. It is rated PG for some suggestive material, brief language, violence, and smoking, and has a runtime of 100 minutes.
The Rotten Tomato audience loves “Solo Mio,” saying it is “well written, acted, directed, and filmed. Excellent performances across the cast in a redeeming story. Delightful participation by Andrea Bocelli.”
The critics’ consensus is, “Leveraging Kevin James’ genial star power and gorgeous scenery from Rome for a disarmingly sweet take on recovering from heartbreak, ‘Solo Mio’ is a breezily enjoyable getaway.” A great movie for Valentine’s weekend.
